The brods set up shop along the daily foot-traffic route from the campus jeepney stop and gave passersby a free cup of halo-halo to enjoy as they went about their day. From students walking back from class to vendors and personnel keeping the kiosks running, the line stretched on as the afternoon sun climbed.
It was a simple gesture — a cold treat on a hot day — but one that captured the heart of how brods of UP Beta Sigma have always shown up for the community they call home. Eight decades on, the fraternity remains rooted in the same simple idea: that the best of brotherhood is what spills outward.
Maraming salamat to every brod who scooped, served, smiled, and stayed until the last cup was handed off — and to everyone in the UP community who lined up and made the afternoon what it was.
